In the relation of the US-Taliban peace deal, Afghan NSA Hamdullah Mohib says the Afghan government broke the back of the Taliban on the battlefield.

Hamdullah Mohib, NSA said that they broke the back of the Taliban with the peace agreement and also defeated the group on the battlefield.
“The negotiation delegation with the Taliban is formed from all walks of the country and represents the people of Afghanistan,” said Mr Mohib in a special interview with Tolo news.

Afghan NSA underlined that by signing a peace agreement with the US, the group has no excuse for war in Afghanistan as they claimed that they fight foreign forces in Afghanistan and now they have no reason for the continuation of the war in the country.
“Anyone who resorts to violence in the country is the enemy of the Afghan people,” he added.

On operations by the security forces, he said that they launched 1,200 operations against the insurgents this year (lunar) which all of them were managed by the Afghan security forces.
“The US has invested in Afghanistan and we have many commitments with this country,” he said.

According to him, as long as the Afghan people want the Islamic System, the security forces will defend it at any cost and there is space for everyone in the Islamic system, even for the Taliban.
