Ata M. Noor, the chief executive of Jamiat Islami party said on Tuesday afternoon that he is awaiting the implementation of the agreement signed between him and the acting heads of interior and defense ministers.
In a video message sent to media on the eve of Nawruz (new year), Ata M. Noor warned that he will use any option if the agreement is not implemented.

Although Mr Noor does not talk about the details of the agreement; but says the acting head of Interior and Defense Ministers came to Mazar city and agreed with him on a third option.

“Expecting the implementation of the agreement… The previous agreement (between him and Ghani) was violated. The two senior security ministers came to Balkh and agreed on a third agreement and now if the agreement is not implemented, which I believe the ministers will implement it, we have all options on the desk. Of course, we do not want war until the war is imposed on us,” Ata M. Noor said.

“We have lots of options that can be used but be sure for now our logic is not war, but we will not sit calm, but we expect for a good result,” he added.

Speaking about the peace process, Ata M. Noor stressed that power seekers are looking to sabotage the process.

This comes as last week, Mazar-e Sharif city turned military over the appointment of Gen. Abdul Raqib Mubariz as new police chief of Balkh province.
