Afghanistan and Pakistani military forces exchanged fires along disputed Durand line for two days.
According to the country’s defense ministry officials, 14 Pakistani soldiers were killed in clashes with Afghan security forces in Jajimaidan district of Khost province.
17 Pakistani soldiers were also wounded during the conflicts, the officials added.
The clashes occurred in “Jandoghar, Nazoghar, and Tapa-e Shaun” areas along the Durand line.
On the other hand, a number of Wolesi Jirga members criticized the issue, saying the Pakistani military forces violates Afghanistan’s territory.
The two countries are separated by the 2,400-kilometer (1,500-mile) Durand Line, which was drawn by British rulers in 1896. Kabul does not recognize it as an international border and has objected to new fortifications being built by Pakistan.
