Arab Military Engagement with U.S. Harms Islamic Dignity, Warns Kabul

DIDPress: A media outlet affiliated with Afghanistan’s caretaker government has warned that the military cooperation of some Arab countries —particularly Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE—with the US could lead to the use of their advanced weaponry in attacks against Gaza and undermine Islamic principles and dignity.

Al-Mirsad media, affiliated with the caretaker government, in a report criticized the arms cooperation of certain Islamic countries with the US, warning that such interactions may contribute to the use of sophisticated military equipment in Israeli attacks and operation against Gaza.

The outlet stressed that such cooperation should not tarnish the religious standing, values, and dignity of the Islamic ummah. It urged the Islamic nations to remain vigilant regarding the influence and military dependence on foreign powers, underlining the need to preserve independence in defense policies.

The report acknowledged that while military interaction with non-Muslim countries might address certain contemporary necessities, it should not come at the cost of Islamic interests and principles.

The media-affiliated with Afghanistan’s interim government urged Muslim governments and nations to prioritize legitimate national interests and Islamic values in their foreign policies and to avoid any form of dependency that could endanger the freedom and future of the Islamic ummah.

This warning comes amid ongoing tensions and conflicts in the Middle East and the broader Islamic world, where advanced weaponry and the influence of global powers have become increasingly sensitive and controversial issues.

Al-Mirsad concluded by stressing the importance of safeguarding the dignity, security, and legitimate interests of the Islamic Ummah, and cautioned that military and economic alliances must not compromise the identity and independence of Muslim nations.
