Poll Finds Trust Among Ethnic Groups Key to Social Cohesion in Afghanistan

DID Press: A recent DID Press survey reveals that 50% of respondents in Afghanistan identify “building trust and fostering cooperation among ethnic and social groups” as the key factor in strengthening social relations. These findings indicate that national solidarity remains a critical and widely supported public priority.

“Expanding job opportunities and improving economic conditions” ranked second with 40% of the votes, while “better access to education and public awareness” received 10%. Strengthening civil institutions drew no votes.
