DID Press: Hussain al-Khalil, Political Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, issued a warning regarding U.S. efforts to escalate tensions in Lebanon.
In a recent statement, he claimed that Washington, by repeatedly sending envoys to Beirut, is attempting to provoke the situation against the Resistance and push the Lebanese army into confrontation with the people.
Al-Khalil stressed that the Lebanese government must not yield to pressure from foreign envoys. He asserted that U.S. policies aim to weaken Lebanon’s defensive and resistance elements, transform the country into an American-Zionist colony, and steer it toward a path of “normalization” similar to the so-called Abraham Accords.
