Poll: Houthi Strikes on Israel Expand Scope of Conflict, Raise Tel Aviv’s Military Costs
DID Press: A new survey indicates that Yemen’s Houthi attacks on Israel are widely seen as expanding the geographic scope of Gaza war while significantly increasing Israel’s military expenses.

According to the poll, 62% of respondents believe Houthi strikes have extended the battlefield beyond Palestine’s borders and forced Israel to boost higher defense costs.
Meanwhile, 38% said the primary impact lies in boosting Palestinian resistance morale and exerting psychological pressure on Israel. Notably, none of the respondents chose the options “limited but highly effective” or “no impact on the course of the war,” signaling that public opinion views the Houthi role as a significant factor in the conflict.
The findings suggest that Houthis’ entry into the confrontation with Israel—framed as a move in defense of Gaza—has altered not only the psychological but also the operational dimensions of the war, compelling Israel to widen its defensive perimeter across the region.
