Saudi Arabia and Pakistan Sign Joint Defense Agreement

DID Press: Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have entered a new phase in their military and security cooperation by signing a defense agreement that considers any attack on either country as an attack on both, signaling Riyadh and Islamabad’s shared resolve to confront regional threats.

The landmark defense pact was signed in Riyadh during a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Under the agreement, any military aggression against one nation will be treated as aggression against the other.

Officials from both countries emphasized that the pact aims to strengthen military and security cooperation and establish a joint framework to address regional and global threats.

Responding to the agreement, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif posted on X: “The history of brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has entered a significant phase. These two brotherly nations stand united, shoulder to shoulder, against their adversaries.”
