Over 2,000 Religious scholars to Discuss Peace in Kabul

More than 2 000 religious Ulema are expected to come to Kabul from different parts of the country in order to attend a major religious conference.



More than 2 000 religious Ulema are expected to come to Kabul from different parts of the country in order to attend a major religious conference.

At the meeting, the Ulema will announce their stance on peace, war, and ongoing violence based on Islamic teachings.
This comes as several conference have been held with the presence of some Islamic countries to discuss Afghanistan peace.
The latest one, was Afghanistan-Pakistan-Indonesia religious conference, in which the three country’s Ulema read the Afghan war illegitimate.

The Afghan government has made a great effort to convince armed oppositions the Afghan war has no religious legitimacy, but has not been successful so far.
