Weather Alert: Snow, Rain and Strong Winds Forecast in 10 Provinces
DID Press: Afghanistan’s Meteorological Department under the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has issued a weather warning, forecasting snowfall, rainfall, and strong winds across 10 provinces on Saturday, (Dec. 13).

According to the advisory, rain and snow are expected in Herat, Farah, Ghor, Badghis, Faryab, Sar-e Pol, Bamyan, Daikundi, Takhar, and Badakhshan provinces, with precipitation levels ranging between 10 and 15 millimeters.
The department also warned that snow accumulation in some areas could reach 10 to 20 centimeters.
In addition, strong winds are forecast in central and northeastern provinces, with wind speeds expected to range between 50 and 95 kilometers per hour.
Authorities have urged residents to take necessary precautions, particularly in mountainous and vulnerable areas.
