Afghan Resistance Council Hails Tehran Talks as Chance for Peace
DID Press: Supreme Council of National Resistance for the Salvation of Afghanistan described Tehran regional meeting on Afghanistan as a positive step toward renewed regional attention to the country’s crisis, stressing the need for responsible international support for lasting peace and stability.

In a statement, the council praised the Tehran meeting as a commendable effort to keep Afghanistan on the regional political and diplomatic agenda and expressed appreciation for the Iranian government and representatives of participating countries.
The council said such initiatives would only be effective if accompanied by active and coordinated support from the international community, helping to break the political deadlock and create conditions for sustainable peace and stability.
It urged all regional and international stakeholders to play their roles responsibly and in a coordinated manner in addressing Afghanistan’s political impasse, in order to bring about tangible and lasting change in the country.
