Pro-Palestine Activists Protest Outside UK Consulate in New York

DID Press: Dozens of human rights and pro-Palestine activists gathered outside the UK Consulate in New York to protest London’s ongoing arms shipments to Israel and the prolonged detention of activists.

The demonstrators expressed solidarity with activists who have been held in UK prisons for over 40 days without trial and on hunger strike, linking their detention to pro-Palestinian advocacy.

Participants condemned the UK’s role in producing and exporting weapons allegedly used in attacks on civilians in Gaza. They called for the immediate release of detainees, fair trials, and a complete halt to arms exports to Israel.

Organizers emphasized that the continued detention of activists alongside arms shipments reflects the UK government’s complicity in escalating violence and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
