DID Press: Israeli officials voiced growing concern over the possibility of a sudden preemptive strike by Tehran and urged the Trump administration to ensure full U.S. defensive readiness in the Middle East, Amid media and intelligence reports pointing to unusual Iranian military activity.

Israel’s Channel 15 reported that political and security officials in Tel Aviv have issued warnings about the likelihood of a surprise Iranian attack. These concerns have intensified following indications of increased Iranian military movements across multiple domains.
In this context, a senior Israeli source told Axios that the probability of an imminent Iranian attack is estimated at around 50 percent. According to the source, while the possibility of a large-scale missile exercise has been considered, none of the relevant Israeli authorities are willing to dismiss the developments as merely a drill or accept the risk of being caught off guard.
Axios also reported that Israeli officials have been in extensive contact with the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump in recent hours, warning of the potential for a sudden Iranian strike. According to the report, Israel has requested that Washington significantly increase its defensive preparedness across the Middle East region.
Within the same framework, Western intelligence agencies have identified unusual Iranian aerial activity, including the movement of drones, missiles, and air defense systems. These activities, according to Western sources, may signal operational readiness or serve as a deterrent message amid the current heightened tensions.
The escalation of such warnings indicates that the regional security landscape has entered a particularly sensitive phase, where any miscalculation could rapidly intensify tensions between Iran, Israel, and extra-regional actors.
