Bangladeshi Media: Pakistan Army’s Warning to Afghan Taliban Signals Diplomatic Failure
DID Press: A Bangladeshi outlet has described the recent warning issued by Pakistan’s military to the Afghan Taliban as evidence of Islamabad’s diplomatic dead-end and a return to pressure and coercive tactics in dealing with Kabul.

In its latest analytical report, the Bangladeshi news service Blitz writes that relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have fallen to their lowest level in years, marked by rising border tensions, mutual accusations, and what it calls a “strategic stalemate” in both Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
According to the outlet, the explicit warning delivered by General Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, amounts to a political and security ultimatum to the Taliban authorities.
The report notes that during a national conference of religious scholars held in Islamabad on 10 December, Munir stressed that the Afghan Taliban must choose between maintaining ties with Pakistan or supporting Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Blitz argues that this position underscores the failure of Pakistan’s traditional tools of influence over Kabul and signals a shift back toward pressure-based policies.
