Taliban Expands Healthcare Services in Remote Afghanistan Provinces
DID Press: Taliban government has announced wide-ranging programs to expand healthcare services in Afghanistan’s remote provinces.

Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said 318 thirty-bed hospitals were granted construction approval across the country over the past year.
Currently, about 50 of these hospitals are under construction in various provinces, while other projects remain in the initial planning stages.
Mujahid emphasized that these hospitals aim to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve access, especially for populations in underserved and remote areas.
Meanwhile, Sharafat Zaman, spokesperson for the Taliban Ministry of Public Health, said 400 healthcare centers have been built across Afghanistan in the past four years.
Expanding health infrastructure in distant provinces can play a crucial role in reducing medical challenges and improving public health outcomes nationwide, he added.
