254 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Afghanistan
The Ministry of Public Health announced Wednesday that with 254 new coronavirus cases, the total number of infections has soared to over 34,900 cases in the country.
The Ministry of Public Health announced Wednesday that with 254 new coronavirus cases, the total number of infections has soared to over 34,900 cases in the country.
In the past 24 hours, 682 suspicious COVID-19 cases were tested in the laboratories, in which, 254 cases were positive, bringing the total number of infections to 34,994.
Kabul, Herat, Balkh, Qandahar, Nangarhar, and Paktia have recorded the highest number of cases.
According to the Ministry, 1,002 patients have been recovered in the past 24 hours which brings the total number of recoveries to 22,456 nationwide.
At the same time, 32 patients died from the virus. The total number of deaths has reached 1,094 so far.
