Abdul Salam Zaeef: Pakistani Airstrikes Are Clear Violation of Afghanistan’s Sovereignty
DID Press: Former Taliban ambassador to Pakistan has described the country’s recent airstrikes as a breach of neighborly principles and international norms.

Abdul Salam Zaeef, in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, strongly condemned last night’s Pakistani military airstrikes, calling them an “unjustified, reprehensible, and cowardly act.”
He stated that the attacks were carried out by what he described as Pakistan’s “authoritarian military regime” and constitute a clear violation of Afghanistan’s national sovereignty.
According to Zaeef, such actions not only contradict Islamic principles and good neighborly relations but also represent a blatant breach of internationally accepted rules.
The former Taliban ambassador further claimed that Pakistani authorities are attempting to conceal their failures and evade responsibility by targeting innocent people.
These remarks come amid rising tensions between Kabul and Islamabad in recent months, with border security becoming one of the main points of contention between the two sides.
