Deputy presidential spokesman Shah Hussain Murtazawi vowed Thursday that Afghanistan has taken the full control of its airspace for the first time since 1371 (solar year).
According to the Presidential Palace (ARG), the new radar system was inaugurated in the presence of president M. Ashraf Ghani in Hamid Karzai international airport.
According to the officials, the government has stepped up efforts to increase the role of civil aviation authority in control the airspace after they took over the responsibility from the NATO-led coalition forces in 2015.
