DID Press: Pakistani military announced that at least 15 militants were killed in two separate operations in the southwestern province of Balochistan. According to the army, both operations were intelligence-led and part of an ongoing “security clearance” campaign in restive areas of the province.

The first operation took place in the Harnai district, where security forces engaged a militant group, resulting in 12 deaths. The military also reported the seizure of significant quantities of weapons, ammunition, and explosives during the raid.
The second operation occurred in the southern district of Basima, where three additional militants were killed. Pakistani authorities labeled the individuals as part of an “India-backed insurgency,” a term frequently used by Islamabad to describe separatist Baloch groups allegedly supported by New Delhi.
The army emphasized that security operations in Balochistan will continue with the objective of “completely eliminating terrorist threats.” The province has long been a hotspot for clashes between Pakistani forces and armed Baloch groups, and the military says it is working to establish full security control over the region.
