Pakistan Claims Heavy Taliban Losses in “Ghazab Lil Haq” Operation

DID Press: Pakistan government has reported significant casualties among Afghan Taliban forces in its latest “Ghazab Lil Haq” military operation.

Attaullah Tarar stated that field assessments indicate 641 Taliban fighters killed and more than 855 wounded. He added that 243 Taliban border posts were completely destroyed, with another 42 posts demolished after Pakistani forces captured them.

According to Pakistan’s military, 219 Taliban tanks, armed vehicles, and artillery units were neutralized. Airstrikes reportedly targeted 65 positions of “terrorists and their supporting networks” deep inside Afghanistan. In Balochistan’s Zhob region, Taliban forces abandoned positions at checkpoints 2 and 3 after Pakistani forces struck, leaving behind significant weaponry, including Russian-made heavy grenade launchers.

Pakistani officials said the operation was launched in response to “cross-border Taliban attacks” and will continue until the destruction of all designated terrorist havens is complete.

The Taliban government dismissed the Pakistani claims as “baseless, exaggerated, and part of Islamabad’s psychological warfare.”
