Karzai Condemns Pakistan Strikes on Afghanistan as Violation of Intl Law

DID Press: Former Afghan president Hamid Karzai strongly condemned recent Pakistani attacks on several Afghan provinces, describing them as a clear violation of international law and the principles of good neighborly relations.

Karzai said the strikes targeted areas in Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia and Paktika provinces, resulting in the deaths of several civilians, including women and children. He called the attacks a breach of humanitarian values and international legal norms.

The former Afghan leader warned that such actions would only intensify tensions and instability in the region. He urged Pakistan to abandon hostility and pursue constructive and civilized relations with Afghanistan.

Karzai also called on the international community and global organizations to monitor the situation closely to prevent further attacks and to protect civilians.

He emphasized that lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan can only be achieved through mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and adherence to international law, stressing that military aggression and attacks on civilians are unacceptable.
