Pakistani Forces, Afghan Taliban Exchange Fire in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
DID Press: Pakistani security sources reported that an exchange of fire occurred today, Monday (March 30), between Pakistani forces and Afghan Taliban fighters in the Bajaur area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to these sources, the confrontation began when forces affiliated with the Afghan Taliban allegedly opened fire from various border positions using light and heavy weapons. In response, Pakistani security forces retaliated with counterattacks.
Meanwhile, local Pakistani officials confirmed that the clashes were confined to positions along the disputed border line and that no civilian casualties were reported.
Pakistani sources reported the incident amid earlier reports that residential areas in Kunar province were targeted by Pakistan the previous day, resulting in the deaths of several civilians, including women and children.
Last Thursday, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the temporary pause in the operation known as “Ghazab-ul-Haq”, declared during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, had ended and that the operation would continue until its stated objectives are achieved.
