Kabul Proposes Using Afghan Workforce in Kyrgyzstan Construction Projects
DID Press: During a meeting between Nooruddin Azizi, Taliban’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Tursunkulov, both sides emphasized expanding economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced on Monday (April 6) that Minister Azizi, while appreciating the Kyrgyz delegation’s participation in the Afghanistan–Central Asia consultative meeting, stressed strengthening economic cooperation and increasing bilateral trade.
According to the statement, the Kyrgyz deputy minister highlighted cultural ties between the two nations, calling Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan “brother countries,” and invited Minister Azizi for an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the growth of bilateral trade in recent years and agreed to expand trade volume up to $1 billion.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Azizi proposed leveraging Afghan construction companies and workforce for ongoing and future building projects in Kyrgyzstan.
