DID Press: A recent report by Washington Post indicates that European public opinion toward United States has become significantly more negative, with many citizens no longer seeing the US as a reliable ally.

According to survey results, at least one-quarter or more of respondents in France, Germany, and Spain consider the US a “rival” or even an “enemy.”
The report also notes that a significant majority of Europeans view Donald Trump as an “enemy of Europe,” describing Washington’s foreign policy as a form of “neo-colonialism.”
Analysts warn that this shift in perception could have major implications for transatlantic relations, potentially affecting political, security, and economic cooperation between Europe and the United States.
