US Democrats Move to Impeach War Chief Over Deadly Iran School Strike

DID Press: A group of Democratic lawmakers in US House of Representatives is preparing impeachment articles against the US War secretary following revelations about a deadly strike on a school in Minab that reportedly killed more than 160 children.

According to reports from Washington, D.C., the proposed impeachment resolution contains five charges centered on alleged war crimes linked to the conflict with Iran, abuse of power, and systemic mismanagement within the Defense Department.

Yassamin Ansari, a member of Congress, described the strike as a “clear war crime,” arguing that the attack on a school—where more than 160 children were killed—constituted a blatant violation of international law. She stressed that such actions are unjustifiable and place direct responsibility on senior military and political leaders.

Sources familiar with the matter say Democrats plan to formally introduce the impeachment measure in the House, a move that could escalate political tensions in Washington and trigger a new phase of legal and constitutional confrontation.
