Pak Army Issues Statement After Field Marshal Munir’s 3-Day Visit to Tehran

DID Press: Pakistan’s military said that Field Marshal Sayed Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief, held meetings with Iran’s president and several senior political and military officials during his three-day visit to Tehran.

Saturday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Field Marshal Munir met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during the visit.

According to the statement, he also held separate meetings with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, and Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam-al Anbiya Construction Headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The statement added that the visit reflects Pakistan’s strong commitment to contributing to the peaceful resolution of conflicts in the Middle East and to strengthening regional peace and stability.
