$10.2M Contract Signed to Extract Third Salt Block in Ghorian

DID Press: Taliban’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has announced the signing of a $10.2 million contract with a private company to extract the third salt block in the Namsar area of Ghorian District, located in Herat Province.

According to the ministry, Abdul Rahman Qanet signed the agreement on Tuesday. The contract is valued at $10.2 million and will remain in effect for a period of 15 years.

The statement further noted that a royalty fee of 1,500 Afghanis has been set for each ton of salt extracted under the project.
