Kabul Municipality: Buildings Up to 30 stories Are Permitted Under Urban Plans
DID Press: Kabul Municipality has announced that residents are allowed to construct buildings of up to 30 stories in line with approved urban regulations and master plans, rejecting claims that construction above three floors has been banned.

A spokesperson for the municipality said such reports are based on a misunderstanding, stressing that the main requirement for construction is compliance with technical standards and city planning guidelines.
At the same time, Nematullah Barakzai clarified that three-story, basement-free housing units are specifically intended for citizens in urgent need of shelter.
Municipal authorities added that these three-storey structures are designed strictly for residential use and cannot be used for commercial purposes. They emphasized that monitoring of construction standards will continue to ensure orderly urban development in Kabul.
