Kabul–Tashkent Expand Cooperation in Agriculture and Textile Sector
DID Press: Tashkent hosted a meeting between Afghan officials and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, where both sides agreed to expand economic cooperation, particularly in agriculture and textiles.

The discussions, held under a program supported by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), focused on strengthening bilateral trade and industrial collaboration.
Key areas identified for cooperation include cotton processing, textile production, and the processing of fruits and vegetables, along with the development of joint production value chains.
Officials also emphasized broader economic integration between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, aiming to improve trade connectivity and industrial development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed, outlining frameworks for future cooperation and joint initiatives.
