DID Press: Iran’s military leadership has issued a strong warning over any foreign, particularly US, presence near the strategic Strait of Hormuz, stressing that the waterway’s security is fully controlled by Iranian forces.

General Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, said that all maritime traffic through the strait must be coordinated with Iran’s armed forces, emphasizing that any uncoordinated activity would face a “firm response.”
He accused the United States of engaging in “threatening and destabilizing” maritime actions that, according to him, put global trade and energy flows at risk.
Abdollahi further stated that Iran has consistently demonstrated a “deterrent response” to hostile actions and warned that any attempt by foreign military forces, particularly the US, to approach or enter the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz would be met with direct retaliation.
He also urged countries allied with Washington to avoid actions that could escalate tensions, warning of “irreversible consequences” and increased risks to commercial shipping in the region.
