Taliban Reaffirms “Non-Discriminatory Security” Across Afghanistan
DID Press: Taliban’s Interior Ministry says its security forces continue to provide nationwide protection “without discrimination” for all ethnic and religious groups across Afghanistan.

Speaking during a meeting with the High Commission of Shiite Affairs, Interior Ministry spokesperson Abdul Matin Qani said police forces are operating around the clock across the country to maintain stability and ensure public safety for all citizens, regardless of ethnicity or sect.
Qani added that maintaining security, preventing threats, and strengthening cooperation with social and religious institutions remain key priorities of the ministry.
During the meeting, Taliban officials and representatives of the Shiite commission emphasized the importance of broader social engagement in strengthening public security and reducing tensions.
The commission’s representatives welcomed dialogue with security authorities and stressed the importance of national unity and inter-community cohesion.
Mohammad Ali Akhlaqi, head of the commission, highlighted the security concerns of Shiite communities, particularly in western Kabul, and called for more practical measures to address public grievances and improve safety conditions.
Observers note, however, that repeated assurances of “non-discriminatory security” will only gain credibility if accompanied by measurable improvements on the ground, especially in vulnerable areas where residents continue to report security concerns.
