$3.6M Agreement Signed to Boost Livestock Sector Across 13 Provinces

DID Press: Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (Taliban) announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Dutch Committee for Afghanistan (DCA) to support livestock development across 13 provinces.

According to the ministry, the agreement was signed between the Directorate of Planning and Policy and the Dutch Committee for Afghanistan, focusing on strengthening the livestock sector and improving animal health services.

The total value of the project is estimated at $3.6 million and it is scheduled to be implemented over a two-year period. The program aims to enhance livestock production, improve veterinary services, and strengthen support mechanisms for farmers and livestock owners.

Officials from the ministry expressed hope that the project will improve livestock conditions nationwide and create better livelihood opportunities for rural communities dependent on animal husbandry.
