Saudi Arabia Arrests Five Afghans Over Illegal Hajj Attempt

DID Press: Saudi Arabian security authorities announced the arrest of five Afghan nationals for allegedly attempting to enter the holy city of Mecca illegally to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.

According to Saudi media reports, the individuals attempted to reach Mecca through desert routes without official authorization but were identified and detained by Hajj security forces.

Authorities said the five had traveled without obtaining official Hajj permits, thereby violating regulations and procedures governing the annual pilgrimage season.

Saudi security officials confirmed that legal proceedings have been initiated in connection with the incident.

Saudi Public Security also urged residents and pilgrims to comply fully with official Hajj regulations and warned that violators would face legal consequences.
