$10M Health Deal Signed to Expand Medical Services in Paktia

DID Press: Taliban Ministry of Public Health has announced the signing of a healthcare contract worth more than $10.349 million with HealthNet TPO to strengthen medical services in Paktia Province.

According to the ministry, the one-year agreement aims to improve the quality of healthcare services, expand public access to treatment, and reduce health-related challenges across the province.

Officials said the project is expected to provide essential healthcare services to local residents while also creating employment opportunities for 1,538 people in the health sector.

The initiative comes as Afghanistan’s healthcare system continues to face major financial and operational challenges following reductions in international aid and growing humanitarian needs across the country.
