Afghanistan–Russia Economic Commission Holds First Meeting
DID Press: The first joint Afghanistan–Russia Economic and Trade Commission meeting has been held on the sidelines of the 17th “Russia–Islamic World” international forum, focusing on expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, transit, and investment.

The session was chaired by Afghanistan’s Minister of Higher Education and attended by senior officials from both sides. Discussions centered on strengthening economic ties and identifying practical mechanisms to facilitate long-term commercial cooperation.
Both delegations emphasized Afghanistan’s strategic role in regional economic connectivity and underscored the need to establish sustainable frameworks to expand bilateral trade and investment opportunities.
