DID Press: Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan has announced a temporary ceasefire with the government of Pakistan during the Eid al-Adha holidays.
In an Eid message, TTP leader Noor Wali Mehsud said the group would suspend operations against Pakistani security forces for three days, covering the 10th, 11th, and 12th of Dhul-Hijjah.
He called on fighters to refrain from any attacks during the ceasefire period but warned that the group would respond strongly if it came under military action from the Pakistani army.
The announcement states that the ceasefire will be temporary and strictly limited to the Eid period.
