Trump Pushes Muslim States Toward Israel Recognition

DID Press: American news outlet Axios has reported that amid growing difficulties in the US confrontation with Iran, Donald Trump is pressuring Muslim-majority countries to formally recognize Israel as part of a broader regional deal tied to the Iran crisis.

According to the report, sources close to the White House said Trump urged several Arab and Muslim leaders during phone calls to normalize relations with Israel in exchange for a potential agreement aimed at easing regional tensions. The report claimed some of the conversations were conducted in a confrontational tone.

At the same time, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham reportedly warned countries including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar of “serious consequences” if they refused to support the proposed framework.

Inside Israel, concerns over the initiative have also emerged. Israel’s Channel 12 reported that some senior Israeli officials viewed the proposal as potentially damaging to Israeli strategic interests, arguing that it overlooks Iran’s nuclear program, missile capabilities and regional alliances while granting Tehran time to regroup under a proposed 60-day ceasefire arrangement.

Trump has defended the proposal as a “fair and excellent” agreement and dismissed critics as political failures.

Analysts say the reported initiative has intensified debate across the Middle East, where normalization with Israel remains highly sensitive amid ongoing regional conflicts and public anger over the war in Gaza Strip.
