UNSC to Review UNAMA Mandate in Afghanistan
DID Press: United Nations Security Council is set to hold a meeting on Monday to review the mandate and activities of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA).

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan said in a statement that the session will begin at 10:00 a.m. New York time (6:30 p.m. Kabul time) and will be broadcast live.
According to the statement, the 15-member Security Council will assess UNAMA’s mandate and discuss its role and ongoing activities in Afghanistan.
The meeting is also expected to include discussions on recent reports and evaluations related to the situation in Afghanistan and the performance of the UN mission in the country.
