Muttaqi Welcomes Iran–US Agreement as Regional Stability Step

DID Press: Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi has welcomed the recent Iran–United States agreement, describing it as a positive development for regional stability and urging its effective implementation.

Speaking on Tuesday at a meeting of research centers from Afghanistan and Central Asian countries, Muttaqi said the agreement could represent a significant step toward reducing tensions if fully implemented.

He stressed that continued conflict harms all countries in the region and reiterated that peace and stability benefit not only neighboring states but also the broader international community.

Muttaqi expressed hope that the deal could open a new path for reducing regional tensions and strengthening cooperation among regional actors.
