Taliban Prioritize Security and Public Services, Says Hanafi
DID Press: Senior Taliban officials say ensuring security for citizens and responding to public needs remain among the government’s top priorities.

Abdul Salam Hanafi made the remarks during a meeting with the governor of Faryab province and several local officials, emphasizing nationwide security and improvements in living conditions.
He said the Afghan government considers itself responsible for ensuring public safety and addressing daily challenges faced by citizens, urging all government institutions to work with greater coordination and seriousness in this regard.
Hanafi also highlighted the key role of local authorities in implementing government programs, calling on governors and provincial departments to intensify efforts to strengthen order and security, improve public services, and resolve people’s problems.
The Faryab governor, in turn, provided an update on the province’s overall situation and discussed security and service-related challenges with the deputy prime minister.
The Taliban administration has repeatedly emphasized security provision, countering internal threats, and improving public services in recent months.
