Taliban Raid Tamadon TV; Broadcast Halted and Staff Expelled

DID Press: A staff member of Tamadon TV has told DID Press that Taliban forces entered the media outlet with a heavy presence, halted broadcasting, and briefly blocked employees from accessing newsroom departments. No injuries have been reported so far.

Following the operation, the employee said that armed personnel and unidentified individuals in plain clothes were present inside the building, and live broadcasting was immediately stopped.

According to the source, access to the newsroom was blocked with instructions effectively ending operations, while technical teams allegedly affiliated with the authorities began removing surveillance equipment.

The employee added that staff were initially kept outside the newsroom for around 20 minutes before being allowed limited access, and later instructed to leave the premises entirely.

The source further claimed that employees were not permitted to perform prayers inside the building and were told to step outside before being dismissed.

As of now, the Taliban has not issued an official explanation regarding the suspension of broadcasts at TV Tamadon, and there are no confirmed reports of injuries.
