Leader of the Islamic Revolution Urges Legal Action Over Wartime Crimes
DID Press: Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, has called for legal action against those responsible for crimes committed during what he described as the second and third imposed wars, stressing that perpetrators must be held accountable and brought to justice.

In a message marking Iran’s Judiciary Week, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said pursuing the rights of the Iranian people over alleged crimes committed during the conflicts of 2025–2026 should be among the judiciary’s highest priorities.
He stated that cases involving civilian deaths, war-related damages, attacks on medical and public service facilities, the killing of children, and other alleged crimes should be actively pursued in both domestic and international courts to ensure accountability.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also argued that statements made by some US and Israeli officials amount to admissions of responsibility and could provide a basis for legal efforts aimed at securing justice for the Iranian people.
In another part of his message, he highlighted the importance of justice, anti-corruption measures, protection of public rights, and safeguarding lawful freedoms as key responsibilities of the judiciary.
He further called for the implementation of judicial reform programs, urging authorities to improve the speed of legal proceedings, strengthen institutional integrity, combat corruption, and expand access to justice.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized that the judiciary should operate free from favoritism, personal influence, or privileged treatment, and should serve as a trusted institution for all citizens seeking justice.
