Blast Hits Kabul University Dormitory, Campus Sealed Off
DID Press: A hand grenade blast struck the dormitory compound at Kabul University on Friday evening, injuring several students, according to local sources.

The blast occurred around dinner time as students were leaving the dormitory. Local sources said at least three students were injured, while some reports suggested the number of casualties could be as high as 10.
The injured were taken by ambulance to hospitals in Kabul for treatment.Following the blast, Taliban security forces sealed off the university campus and blocked access to and from the area.
No further details have been released regarding the identities of the injured, the suspected perpetrators or the motive behind the attack.Taliban authorities have not yet commented on the incident.
The blast comes amid a series of security incidents reported in Kabul in recent months. Four days earlier, an explosion in the city’s District 4 was attributed by Taliban authorities to a gas leak.
