Uzbekistan Hosts First Global Islamic Civilization Forum

DID Press: The first International Forum on Islamic Civilization will be held from 7 to 11 July 2026 in the cities of Uzbekistan, including Tashkent, Samarkand, and Termez, bringing together scholars, religious figures, experts, and representatives of institutions from dozens of countries.

The forum is being organized under the slogan “Islamic Civilization: A Path to Peace, Tolerance and Enlightenment.” Its agenda includes academic sessions, international exhibitions, presentations of rare manuscripts, and cultural and educational programs focused on the heritage of Islamic civilization.

Special attention will be given to the activities of the Islamic Civilization Center in Tashkent and research on the scientific and intellectual legacy of scholars from Transoxiana.

Reports say the Islamic Civilization Center of Uzbekistan has been registered in the Guinness World Records for housing 114 copies of rare Qur’anic manuscripts, making it the largest collection of its kind in the world.
