UNDP: Afghanistan Among World’s Largest Displacement Crises

DID Press: United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) says Afghanistan is facing one of the world’s largest displacement crises, with poverty, drought and earthquakes continuing to drive humanitarian needs across the country.

In a statement, UNDP said it is supporting displaced people and host communities to help them transition from emergency return to long-term recovery and sustainable resilience through community-based rebuilding efforts.

The agency said its assistance aims to strengthen livelihoods and support recovery in communities affected by prolonged displacement and recurring crises.
