IRGC Strikes US Bases in Kuwait and Bahrain

DID Press: Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it had launched the first phase of what it described as a retaliatory operation, targeting strategic facilities and infrastructure at several US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain with coordinated missile and drone strikes. The IRGC warned that Iran’s response would expand if US military actions continue.

In a statement, the IRGC said the operation was carried out in direct response to what it called recent US attacks on locations in southern and eastern Iran.

According to the statement, the IRGC Navy and Aerospace Force conducted a joint missile and drone operation targeting key infrastructure at the US military bases of Arifjan and Ali Al Salem in Kuwait, as well as Juffair and Sheikh Isa in Bahrain.

The IRGC described the strikes as the first phase of a “punitive response” to what it characterized as US aggression and warned that any further military action by Washington would trigger broader Iranian retaliation against additional US military installations across the region.

The statement also claimed that recent US actions were intended to divert international attention from the large funeral ceremonies held in Iran and Iraq for what it referred to as the “Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.”

The IRGC concluded by warning that any new military action by the United States would be met with what it described as a “stronger, broader, and more decisive” response by Iran’s armed forces.
