Pakistan Detains 1,686 Undocumented Afghan Migrants in Border Crackdown

DID Press: Pakistani security forces say they have detained 1,686 undocumented Afghan migrants during 40 security operations in the border districts of Balochistan, with 1,257 of those arrested already returned to Afghanistan.

According to Pakistani authorities, the operations were carried out across several border areas of Balochistan Province as part of an ongoing campaign against undocumented migration.

Security officials claimed that undocumented migrants and human trafficking networks pose a threat to the country’s security, public order and economic stability.

They added that Pakistan will continue strengthening border management and enforcing immigration laws as part of its broader effort to deport undocumented foreign nationals.
