DID Press: Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has traveled to Qatar at the head of a high-level delegation for a one-day visit, accompanied by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
During the visit, Shehbaz Sharif is expected to meet Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and convey condolences from the Pakistani government following the death of former Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The Pakistani delegation also includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, as well as Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.
The visit highlights the close diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Qatar and comes as Islamabad expresses solidarity with Doha’s leadership and people during a period of mourning.
