Pakistan Expels More Than 4,000 Afghan Migrants in One Day

DID Press: Pakistan has deported 4,037 Afghan nationals within a 24-hour period as part of an intensified campaign against undocumented migrants, returning them to Afghanistan through the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings.

According to the Taliban’s High Commission for Refugees Affairs, the latest wave of deportations followed the expiration of a deadline set by Pakistan’s Interior Ministry for individuals without valid visas or legal residency permits to leave the country.

Officials said the repatriation process is ongoing and warned that more Afghan migrants could be expelled from Pakistan in the coming days as authorities continue enforcement operations.
