DID Press: A Baloch political activist has alleged that some former Afghan government security personnel are participating alongside Pakistani forces in military operations in Balochistan, a claim that has not been independently verified by international sources.

Mehrang Baloch, head of the Baloch Solidarity Committee Pakistan, claimed that the Pakistani military has recruited a number of former Afghan security forces to take part in operations and suppress protests in Balochistan.
She alleged that the involvement of former Afghan soldiers could have broader security and social consequences for Balochistan and affect historical relations between Baloch and Afghan communities.
Mehrang Baloch further claimed that some former Afghan security personnel were present during a military operation in the Zehri area.
She also said local reports from Mastung indicated that a group of these forces, allegedly with support from the Pakistani military, had occupied a school and converted it into a military base.
Pakistani authorities have not issued an official response to these allegations. The claims have also not been independently confirmed by credible international sources.
